You’ll connect people to resources, develop programs that highlight all the library has to offer, and spark the curiosity of adult readers. The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is seeking a collaborative and technologically savvy individual to join our team. A commitment to excellent customer service is required.

We are looking for a positive information professional who holds high customer service standards, has a sense of humor, instructional experience, supervisory skills, knowledge in research and digitization methods, and the flexibility to readily adapt to changing priorities and technologies.

This person will assist with the library’s Home Delivery Service, providing outreach to residences of those who find it impossible, or very difficult to come to the library. You’ll work with assisted care facilities, senior citizens, and oversee a group of Home Delivery volunteers.

This person will be on the Reference Services (RS) Team. RS is a ten-person team that works collaboratively to offer a variety of services at the public desk, in the Dabble Box (makerspace), library collections, and Home Delivery. Our team’s mission is to support lifelong learning among our community and staff through access, conversation, and innovation.

This is a part-time position, 28 hours per week. The starting wage is $23.79 per hour. The proposed schedule includes primarily daytime hours, with regular evenings and rotating weekend hours. Benefits include paid holiday, floating holiday, vacation and sick leave, and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
