This is a topic that has been around the block a few times!  Most of you already know about the excellent and complete resource created and maintained by School Library Journal about publisher permissions during the time of COVID 19–many of those publishers have extended their permissions.  If you haven’t already seen it, the Association for Library Service to Children’s Virtual Storytime Services Guide also has a whole section about copyright considerations, which is nicely summarized in this ALSC Blog post.

There have also been some voices weighing in on whether or not all elements of a virtual storytime could be considered fair use, just during this time of pandemic.  I found this article from American Libraries by Tomas Lipinski to have some interesting points, it is quick and easy to understand.
