There have been some questions about wages in our email lists. Cricket LaFond (Clear Lake) passed along this handy tool from IMLS. You can search one year at a time on multiple data points, like state, population, number of staff.

Anti-racism toolkit and webinar

Confronting White Nationalism in Libraries:  A Toolkit  is a resource from the Western States Center.  (from their website: “Based in the Pacific Northwest and Mountain States, Western States Center works nationwide to build a future where all people can live, love, worship, and work free from bigotry and fear.”)  They also are providing access to Taking Back Our Libraries:  Five Things You can Do to Keep Hate Out of Public Spaces , a webinar recording that is available for a limited time has suggestions for libraries and for members of the public, as well.

Useful information with some examples that made me laugh out loud

Mental Health First Aid Offered Virtually

Rusk County Community Library will be hosting a Mental Health First Aid virtual training session on October 4 from 9-2.
