The Hudson Area Public Library is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a part-time, non- benefitted Youth Services Library Assistant II position. In this position you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a variety of children’s programming—including early literacy story-times, family oriented and educational programs.
Some flexibility in scheduling is required, but the core schedule requires story-time hours and some weekends. Schedule is subject to change based on library programs.
26 hours per week and the core schedule for this position will be:
Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 2:15 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. 9:45 a.m. – 6:15 p.m.
The ideal candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, and team-oriented and will have a knowledge of children’s literature, project planning skills, collaborative, and flexible. A Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Education, Early Learning, or similar degree is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience working in a library or educational setting is preferred.

The Hudson Area Joint Library, member of the Indianhead Federated Library System, is committed to providing excellent customer service and access to a variety of services. The library is located at 700 1st Street, Hudson, WI 54016, just off I-94 and situated on the beautiful St. Croix River, just 10 minutes from the Twin Cities Metro area.
