Keeping Up With Kids

The first Saturday in November, the American Library Association is promoting International Games Day@ Your Library.  Hard to go wrong with some interactive games!
IFLS has several gaming kits–both electronic (Wii, Rock Band, Guitar Hero) and non-electronic (The Worst Case Scenario Survival Game, Apples to Apples, Man Bites Dog, Pictionary, Monopoly, the list is LONG).  Reserve through Leah (langby @ ifls.lib.wi.us).
Kids can try their hand at making their own games at technology programs (see here for some handouts from a workshop we had last year about doing that).
The American Library Association is posting one programming idea a day for International Games Day, November 3, on its Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/nationalgamingday.
