Keeping Up With Kids

I’m so excited that IFLS will be hosting two webinars with the award-winning Katherine Schoofs, the Youth Services Librarian/Assistant at the Aram Public Library in Delevan, Wisconsin.  Katherine will be talking about program planning during COVID and share some great ideas about passive programs.  You can get a small sense of her sense of humor and general awesomeness by reading the descriptions for these webinars.  Everyone is welcome to attend, and these sessions will also be recorded and captioned for later use.

November 11, 2-3 pm:  Program Planning in a Pandemic?  There Have Been Stranger Things…  With COVID-19 still rearing its ugly head–now with variants!–the world certainly can feel like the Upside Down at times. Let’s chat programming–both in-person and synchronous virtual–and ways to collaborate, navigate, and celebrate our communities during a pandemic.

December 9, 2-3 pm:  Passive and Drop-In Programs-Love that Journey for Us!   Does the idea of coming up with a passive program make you feel like a disgruntled pelican? Do you have “ew, drop-ins” embroidered on a throw pillow? Let’s turn those negative thoughts on their head with a passive program buffet! Help yourself to whatever elements you like! Tips on collaboration? Sure thing! Passive programs in the time of COVID? Help yourself! By the end of this webinar, you’ll be positively bedeviled with ideas!
