Keeping Up With Kids

If you don’t already follow the Wisconsin Library Association’s Youth Services Section Youth Services Shout-Out Blog, I highly recommend starting.   A few updates about what is happening in the world of YSS:

  • YSS is planning a Virtual Performer’s Showcase on Tuesday, December 3.  They are especially looking for excellent performers from the western and northern parts of the state!  If you have a performer to recommend, please contact YSS Chair Cathy Pescinski (cpenscinski@shawanolibrary.org) or WLA Director Laura Sauser (sauser@wisconsinlibraries.org).
  • The YSS Board is looking for nominees for new members!  This is an excellent opportunity to get involved on a statewide level, broaden your circle of library friends, and continue to ensure that this corner of the state is well-represented!  Most meetings are virtual, with two in-person meetings.  Questions about what it is like to be on the board?  Your IFLS colleagues Jenna Gilles (Chippewa Falls) and Valerie Spooner (Ladysmith) are current members.  You can nominate yourself!
