Participants Needed – Wisconsin Humanities Community Powered Training Program
Wisconsin Humanities is currently seeking participants for its 2024 Community Powered training program. This spring, Community Powered, our community resilience program, will select 8 Wisconsin Humanities Fellows to spend a year learning about how to use the tools of the humanities to inspire new community-driven projects. The training program consists of monthly Zoom training workshops spread out over six months that teach participants how to document local history and culture, tell community stories, and activate community members in local projects, followed by 6 months of putting that training to use executing community projects.
Recovery Voucher Program
The new Recovery Voucher Program intended to provide enhanced access to affordable, safe, and stable housing in recovery residences for individuals and their families who are experiencing homelessness and have been diagnosed with opioid use disorder (OUD). This program was developed in partnership between the Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services and the Wisconsin Department of Administration. - DOA’s Division of Energy, Housing and Community Resources (DEHCR) is administering the program, leveraging supportive housing expertise and strong existing partnerships with the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program in Milwaukee, Dane, and Racine counties, as well as local homeless coalitions serving the other 69 counties across the state. The seven agencies funded to administer the program have a primary focus area covering 30 counties; however, all people within the state can access the program through any of the agencies.

Free COVID tests
Wisconsin Department of Health Services has 30,000 COVID available for organizations to request for distribution. The expiration date is April 2024 and as of now, the date hasn’t been extended. Order some for your library to distribute to your citizens.
